Ministry Philosophy

Shore Grace is an active church. There are many areas where you might be able to exercise you gifts, get connected and serve the local body and the community at large. There's sure to be one that's right for you...

Grace Kids
Grace kids is an exciting, fun programme for kids aged 5 to 10 year olds, running on Sunday mornings from 10:30am to 11:30am.

Core
Reactor Core is for youth aged 10 years and upwards. Offering a fun, teaching and discipleship programme also running on Sunday mornings from 10:30am to 11:30am.

Fusion Youth
Fusion Youth is a power packed hour for youth from ages 10-13. It's more than fun and games, it's more than a great night out...it's DANGEROUSLY DIFFERENT!

Lifegroups
We believe that a great place to grow, learn and share life is in a Lifegroup. So during the week we provide an opportunity for that community to continue developing in a smaller setting. If you'd like to join a Lifegroup or maybe even lead one, speak to Pastor Mike.

Family & Parenting
SG is about family! You only have to attend the Sunday morning service to see this statement in action. SG is committed to supporting the family unit and equipping parents to be the best that they can be, and to raise up young men and women of God. This is accomplished through parenting courses such as Drug Proofing Your Kids and other informative and helpful resources.

Cross Cultural Ministry
Do you have a heart for those of other cultures and ethnic backgrounds? Would you like to go on a missions trip within NZ or even overseas? SG is developing new links with other ethnic groups (eg Korean) within the North Shore. Please contact Pastor Mike for more details for this exciting area.

Cafe Church
Do you like good food, great coffee? Do you have a flair for making them? Are you into live music, dynamic speakers and the visual arts? If so, Cafe Church might be for you! We are always on the lookout for helpers for our exciting cafe church event. So if you can make espressos, set up sound gear, cook up a storm, have great service skills or can organise an event with military precision, contact Pastor Mike today.

Outreach
SG is committed to seeing everyday people (you and me) come to have a active and vital relationship with God. Being involved in the outreach team might mean being involved with the Alpha or Journey's courses or personal evangelism or community outreach. Contact Pastor Mike for more details.

Worship
Can you sing like an angel? Can you shred a solo with the best of them? Have you got the beat and can keep it? The Shore Grace worship team are always keen to have new musicians and singers to join in this important area of leading the SG community in worship. See one of the worship leaders or Pastor Mike on how to get involved.

Children's Ministry

Shore Grace recognizes that children are a gift from God, and aims to include and/or cater to them whenever we can.

Grace Kids
The Shore Grace Sunday School programme for kids aged 5 and up meets on Sundays during the regular worship time. Children are incorporated in the early part of the service and dismissed about half way through. They then take part in age-appropriate lessons and activities that increase Bible knowledge, bring understanding of the need for salvation, strengthen Christ-like character and encourage young disciples in their relationship with Christ. Grace Kids is taught by a team of caring adults.

Fusion Youth

Fusion - Year 8 and upwards
Dangerously Different, this group is learning what it means to infuse the power of God into their lives. Fusion meets on Friday nights from 7:30am to 9:15pm in the Greenheithe Village Hall. Boys and girls  are welcome. Each week’s activities are varied, often including games, movies, lessons and hangout times with friends.

Creative Ministry

Creative ministry is a major priority for Shore Grace. We see that by being expressive with the creative gifts God has given us we reflect the creative dimension of God’s character. The creative arts will be used in worshipping God, stimulating the Christian imagination and inspiring faith in non believers and seekers.

We would love to hear from you if you have creative and culturally relevant ideas for building God’s kingdom as we seek to follow God’s purposes for church planting
